Rhinelander, WI, April 15, 2024 - The Oneida County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is proud to spread the word about the Small Business Administration's (SBA) initiative to support Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan recipients. Now through May 15, 2024, the SBA Great Lakes Region Weekly Office Hours will guide businesses in Oneida County and beyond through the PPP Loan Forgiveness Process.

Join the Weekly Sessions for PPP Loan Forgiveness Guidance

These live, interactive office hours are set every Wednesday at 10am CT/11am ET until May 15. They are designed to help PPP loan recipients, particularly those with loans under $150,000 that are delinquent and in "charged off" status, navigate through the forgiveness process. With the SBA's recent announcement that such loans not forgiven by March 4, 2024, will be referred to the U.S. Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service for debt recovery, it's crucial for businesses to ensure their loans are fully forgiven.

How Can You Benefit?

The sessions are hosted by the SBA Great Lakes District Offices, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. During these office hours, participants can get their questions answered, learn how to check the status of their loans, and receive guidance on applying for forgiveness. 

Notably, there will be a special session on April 25th at 3pm CT/4pm ET where questions can be asked in Spanish, making this crucial information accessible to more members of our community.
